“THE ALL-STAR BRAWL IS ON!”
Nintendo hopes to improve on the near-perfect mega-hit that is Super Smash Bros. Melee. Two games on two different consoles with the second being so well-tuned and refined, some call Super Smash Bros. Melee (GC) the best fighting game ever. So what is Nintendo up to in the Mushroom Kingdom?
Series creator Masahiro Sakurai and Team-Nintendo have already confirmed Zero Suit Samus (Metroid) and Metaknight (Kirby) and surprisingly, Solid Snake (Metal Gear Solid). Masihiro also confirmed that the Wii is going to feature/support GC controllers for classic Smash Bros. control. The game will also support full online play.
Sadly, however, Super Smash Bros. Brawl is predicted to have a 2007 release, so Super Smash Bros. Brawl will not be a Wii launch title, but you can still look for it in 2007 where hopefully Nintendo will have plenty of exciting new games to slake our desire for the Wii as well as our habitual gaming habits, thus making the wait for Super Smash Bros. Brawl more bearable…
Twilight Princess, anyone?
